Melanotan 1

Melanotan 1 (Afamelanotide) is a synthetic 13-amino acid linear a-MSH analog: [Nle4, D-Phe7]-a-MSH. Contains norleucine at position 4 and D-phenylalanine at position 7 vs native a-MSH.

These substitutions increase potency and stability. Linear peptide structure distinguishes it from cyclic Melanotan 2. Classified as melanocortin receptor agonist. Soluble in sterile water or bacteriostatic water. Store at -20°C.
